Neta, a Chinese electric car manufacturer, unveiled Eureka 03 concept sedan at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show featuring a smooth Art Deco Styling. The third model in the automaker’s product lineup will probably hit the roads in 2022, competing directly with the Tesla Model 3.
For an EV to give a tough time to Tesla Model 3, the Neta Eureka 03 has to deliver amazing range. Reportedly, the company says, the EV will offer 800 kilometers (496 miles) on the NEDC testing cycle. InsideEvs says, the EPA-estimated range could be around 559 km (347 miles), which is still outstanding.
Evaluate it against the standard-range Tesla Model 3 with rear-wheel drive, and we get 250 miles of range, while the all-wheel-drive, extended-range model offers 322 miles of EPA range, making the Eureka surpass its rival easily.
Talking about the performance numbers, the Neta Eureka 03 concept can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.0 seconds against base Tesla’s 0-96 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The extended-range version is faster at 4.4 seconds while the range-topping Model 3 Performance does the same in just 3.2 seconds with 299 miles of range.
The Eureka 03 is 189.0 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and 55.1 inches tall, boasting Y-shaped headlights, a broad, pointed lower grille, and Triangular strakes.
According to CarNewsChina, the production of the Neta Eureka 03 will probably begin anytime next year with deliveries starting in 2022.
