The American muscle car maker has so far introduced exclusive special edition models in the Last Call series for the Challenger and the Charger. Now the company has unveiled another model in the series, which is available for both these muscle cars. Enter the Charger and Challenger Scat Pack Swinger.
If you are an avid Dodge fan, you probably can recall the Dodge Dart Swinger, which was a very famous model from the late 1960s that remained in production till the early 1970s. Now that model returns for the Charger and the Challenger, featuring exciting aesthetic changes, highlighting green colour.
Similar to the previous Last Call special edition cars, the Swinger is built on the Scat Pack trim level. Therefore, we get the familiar 6.4-litre Hemi V8 yielding 485 horsepower. The engine mates to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic for the Challenger, while the Charger Swinger comes with the automatic transmission only. Both Swinger models have a Scat Pack Widebody layout with 20-inch wheels.
Regarding the appearance, we can see green and gold in abundance as both Swingers use gold wheels and gold emblems on the grille and fenders. For distinction, the Challenger Swinger has a gold badge on the spoiler, while the Charger features it on the decklid.
The Challenger also sports gold on the shaker hood scoop, which surely looks unique with the green theme. The Swinger graphics are available both inside and outside for these special edition muscle cars. Dodge offers F8 Green and Sublime Green paint choices. If that’s a bit over the line for you, go for the White Knuckle.
“The name says it all – the originals had a unique, fun character, and that’s the same reaction we’re hoping for with our 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Swinger models,” said Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis. “Dodge Swinger models have always held a unique spot in the Dodge muscle car pantheon, and these modern-day models bring that fun back to life.”
Dodge previously introduced the Challenger Shakedown and the Charger Super Bee in the Last Call series. These Swingers are the third and fourth models, with three more to go. Expect the unveiling of the fifth Last Call Edition on September 14, which will be followed by the sixth on September 21. The final car in the Last Call series will debut at the 2022 SEMA Show in November.
Dodge has decided to build 1,000 units for the Last Call special edition models, so the Swinger will be limited to 1K units only as well. The pricing details will be revealed closer to the launch.
