Bentley Bentayga gets new carbon fibre wheels, which the company says are the biggest ever-produced vehicle. These are exclusive for Bentayga, and they are available through Mulliner.
The Bentley Bentayga carbon fibre wheels took five years to complete, thanks to the efforts of Bucci Composites. If we can recall, the ultra-modern luxury SUV came five years ago, so perhaps this project started upon its arrival. These wheels had to pass TÜV testing and get the certification because fixing 22-inch carbon fibre wheels to a 6,000-pound vehicle could be troublesome.
Every manufacturing process was taken care of very well, and TUV tests were rigorous. The wheels were analyzed on different terrains in different conditions and scenarios. They were even taken to Nurburgring for examination.
Carbon fibre wheels are lightweight. These specific ones for Bentayga are actually 13 pounds (6 kilograms) lighter, meaning the SUV sheds 24 kilograms of weight with these wheels. Besides, these wheels would deliver better braking performance and wear less.
Mulliner didn’t announce the price of Bentley Bentayga’s carbon fibre wheels yet. However, they will be accessible later this year.
