The British automaker introduced the Aston Martin Vantage AMR at the penultimate round of 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in the start of this month. Offering the ultimate driving experience, the AMR retains a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 creating 510PS at 6000rpm and 625Nm from 2000-5000rpm. The engine is powerful enough to take it to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. The top speed is limited to 314 km/h, as delivered by regular Vantage models. However, the motorsport-inspired 7-speed manual transmission created by Graziano renders performance that is more exhilarating.
By ditching the automatic for manual and adding carbon ceramic brakes, the automaker has been able to eliminate 95kg of weight from the standard Vantage.
Aston Martin plans to produce only 200 units of the Vantage AMR in five designer specifications. Out of 200, 59 units are dedicated to ‘Vantage 59’ specification while 141 will be accessible in either Sabiro Blue, Onyx Black, China Grey or White Stone. The “Vantage 59” specification boasts a Stirling Green and Lime exterior color pattern and Dark Knight leather and Alcantara interior, refined with a signature AMR lime stripe and stitch.
The Aston Martin Vantage AMR will cost £164,995 in the UK, €209,995 in Germany and $209,995 in the USA.

From the first quarter of next year, the Vantage will offer manual transmission as an option. The deliveries of Aston Martin Vantage AMR will start in the fall of 2019.
