Lincoln has introduced the updated Corsair for the 2023 model year. The automaker’s best-selling crossover comes with changes both inside, and out and will be available at the start of next year. The refreshed design brings a bigger grille and two new exterior paints – Crystal Red and Whisper Blue.
Interior
The interior is the place that sees the most alterations. The 2023 Corsair replaces the previous small 8.0-inch display at the centre of the dash with a 13.2-inch screen. The new infotainment system uses Sync 4. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster remains the same.
Underneath the centre instrument cluster, we find small changes. It now has a straightforward layout, and a backlit applique is an optional feature. The optional Auto Air Refresh system is another interesting feature that employs a laser sensor to mix the air inside and outside of the vehicle. Similar to the exterior shades, the new Corsair offers two new interior colour choices i.e., Eternal Red and Smoked Truffle.
Different trims also come with distinct interiors. For example, the Reserve model has a gloss black finish while the Grand Touring gets a machined look through sundown satin metallic.
Safety
The best thing about the 2023 Lincoln Corsair is the variety of advanced driver assistance features. The Equipment Collection III package adds ActiveGlide 1.2 hands-free safety system to the crossover.
With this package, the vehicle can run in a straight line at up to 80 miles per hour (129 kilometers per hour) speed. The turn signal stalk function enables the vehicle to change lanes automatically. When it finds another vehicle nearby, the tech steers the vehicle away to make extra room between them. The blind spot assist jolts the vehicle steering to avoid the driver from hitting the car coming from behind when he/she fails to act on the system alert.
Powertrain
The 2023 Corsair offers buyers two powertrain choices – a 2.0-litre turbo four generating 250 horsepower (186 kilowatts) and a 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain creating 266 hp (198 kW). The turbocharged 2.3-litre turbo four-cylinder is not a part of the range now. The engines mate to the front or all the wheels, depending on the variant.
