The second-generation Genesis G80 came last year in March before its electrified version was unveiled two months back. On July 5, the Hyundai luxury brand introduced the 2022 Genesis G80 Sport to add zing to the mid-size luxury sedan’s range.
The new Genesis G80 Sport comes sporting a unique Cavendish Red color, reformed more aggressive front bumpers, larger air vents, exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, and red and black brake calipers on the front and rear wheel respectively.
On the inside, the 2022 Genesis G80 Sport features a three-spoke steering wheel with red stitching, Sevilla Red leather upholstery, and real aluminum and carbon finishes.
Genesis will reveal complete specifications before the market launch in the third quarter. However, we believe it will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 gasoline mill good for 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque, available in the standard G80. The “4WD” badge at the rear tells it is an all-wheel drive.
